Paint Protection Film

Aerospace grade films

At LAC we use premium PPF films to protect your aircraft.

The 3M™ Polyurethane Protective Film is 0.35mm thick

and built as an aerospace grade product and that's why we use it.

This PPF has a tough polyurethane backing  and an acrylic adhesive.

It resists ultraviolet light, tearing, abrasion and punctures

and most importantly installed by professionals.

What is PPF?

Paint Protection Film or PPF was originally used by the United States Military to protect their helicopter rotors and other sensitive parts from debris and shrapnel.

The thick film was applied on leading edges and potential impact areas, designed to be hard wearing and easily replaced.

Like many applications that started as military technology , PPF eventually found it's way in to the commercial market and developed into the various products we have today.

We are proud to be bringing this self healing technology into the world of general aviation.
